Electrical inspection + testing

Electrical Inspection is crucial for all properties - of any kind - with the 'Electricity at Work Regulations 1989' requiring evidence that all electrical installation is designed, installed, constructed and maintained in a safe manner at all times. That’s why at EFS Electrical Inspection and Testing is at the heart of our comprehensive safety programmes.

We work in both the domestic and commercial markets, providing electrical inspection for houses and businesses. When it comes to business we work with a wide range of industries and technical competencies, providing everything from site surveys and technical advice right through to undertaking extensive testing programmes. This experience and expertise means that you will receive the very best service.

Step 1 – Consultation

Our teams of testing engineers are specialists in the field and have helped companies both large and small to conform to the '17th Edition Wiring Regulations', and therefore comply with the 'Electricity at Work Regulations (EaWR) 1989'. They will work with you to ensure that your business complies.

Step 2 – Inspection & testing

EFS’ comprehensive Inspection & Testing of an electrical installation - conducted by a team of two competent qualified inspectors - will produce a Periodic Inspection Report. This Inspection Report will consist of a range of information on the details of the installation, observation and a summary of the Inspection. It will also provide recommendations for how to proceed if the inspection has highlighted any significant defects on an electrical system.

Step 3 – Maintenance

Maintenance Inspections must be carried out regularly in order to ensure that there are no defects and that you meet all regulations. Periodic inspections should only be carried out by fully qualified electricians and you should be given a certificate after the inspection – that’s why you should use EFS.
